There is a lot of misunderstanding & negativity about the direct selling business in India. We also know this business as Network Marketing and MLM- Multilevel Marketing. However, our Indian government and the Indian Direct Selling Association (IDSA) describe multi-level marketing companies in India as an emerging medium of employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance, but some people still defame the MLM companies in India in the name of multi-level marketing schemes.

A report by the Indian Direct Selling Association (IDSA) said that the direct selling industry has crossed the Rs. 18,000 crore mark in the financial year 2020-21, registering a growth of 7.7 per cent. That is, the sales of our industry in 2020-21 was about Rs. 18,067 crore, which is Rs. 1,291 crore more than Rs. 16,776 crore in the financial year 2019-20. Not only this, according to the report, in the financial year 2020-21, the total number of active direct sellers increased by 6.32% to 79 lakh from the previous year.
Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Choubey recently released the Annual Survey Report on Direct Selling. On this occasion, the Minister himself said that the Direct Selling Industry has established itself in the socio-economic scenario of India by providing livelihood opportunities and skills to about 80 lakh Indians.
When the government in its official report or claims that direct selling industry is giving employment option to lakhs of youth, then obviously our industry is not only completely ethical and employable, but also making people across the country socially and economically dependent.
According to The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India i.e. ASSOCHAM, this industry will reach 25 thousand crores by 2025. Yes, this data is telling how golden the future of network marketing is. It also suggests that the business of direct selling in India 2025 will be real winner.
