Apart from this, many nutrients are also present in it such as menthol, iron, fat, protein, carbohydrate, manganese, vitamin C, vitamin A and riboflavin.
India has become a major producer of peppermint. Peppermint cultivation has become a major cash crop in India today. Farmers are earning lakhs of rupees by cultivating Mentha. It is mainly done in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. Its major species include Mentha spicata MSM-01, Kosa and Himalaya Gomti.
Field/Soil Preparation for Peppermint with Galway Products –
For the preparation of the field, 100 to 150 kg of decomposed cow dung / earthworm manure / ash / friable soil mixed with 1-liter G-Bio phosphate advance should be kept in shade for 24 hours and plowing should be done by scattering the field per acre.
At the time of sowing – 10 kg G-SEA power, 8 kg in one acre of land. Use G-Vam (two bags) and one liter of G-NPK Bio Fertilizer. Doing this helps in meeting the nutrients of the crop and the soil from the very beginning.
